A few thoughts

A Return To Simple

Press the pause button.
It's time to feel the rain, the wind, the cold mountain air.
Turn the mobile phone off. It does have an off button.
Leave the laptop power down.
Let the e-mails go un-read.
Shred the to do list.
Unplug the television.
Ebay the Playstation.
Don't eat anything that you haven't made yourself.
Shop Local.
Spend only what you can afford.
Leave the city.
Head to the hills.
Hear the quiet.
Look up at the sky.
Hear the noises of the wood.
Make a campfire.
Watch the fire flicker and the beans bubble.
Time to recharge those batteries.
Things got too complicated back there.

The eagle-eyed amongst you may have noticed another item has squeezed into our menu bar between socials and the gallery - campaigns! calling all those interested in walking...

...that should narrow it down.

Wednesday 22nd February is a date for the diary of all potential, new or experienced walk leaders and anyone wishing to express an opinion about leading within the group. We'll be holding a Walks Diary meeting in conjunction with a Forum for Leading.

The aims are two fold:

Number one, fill the walks diary into June, and beyond if possible.

Number two, obtain members views of present and future leadership within the group. In this part of the meeting we will be looking for you to express views on best practice, hints and tips, barriers to leading, etc... The idea is to encourage new people into leading and maintain the present standards within the group.

If you can't make the meeting or wish to pitch ideas before the date, please contact the Walks Secretary.

We look forward to seeing you in the back bar of the Victoria Hotel, behind the Town Hall in central Leeds, from 7:30pm.
